I am an attorney at Snell and Wilmer L.L.P. in Phoenix, Arizona. I have experience in employment and commercial litigation, employment counseling/advice, internal investigations, and OSHA (including ADOSH, Cal/OSHA, and federal OSHA) litigation.
My employment litigation practice includes representing companies in a broad range of matters, including defending against claims of workplace discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. I have defended companies against claims brought pursuant to the ADA, Title VII, FLSA, ADEA, FMLA, GINA, and numerous other state and federal laws.
I have a national safety and health practice and regularly handle OSHA matters- from the inspection stage through litigation. I also represent places of public accommodation in lawsuits regarding accessibility and compliance issues pursuant to Title III of the ADA and corresponding state law.
In addition to my litigation practice, I routinely advise companies and provide training regarding employee hiring, discipline, leave, and termination; reductions in force; personnel policies and handbooks; noncompetition, nonsolicitation, and confidentiality agreements; employment contracts; and best employment practices.
I assist clients with complex internal investigations-- including allegations of corporate misconduct, executive improprieties, and employment issues.
I am a Phoenix native and a graduate of the Barrett Honors College at Arizona State University. I attended Vanderbilt University Law School as an Honor Scholar. I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation and am the Chair of the Editorial Board of Arizona Attorney Magazine, published by the State Bar of Arizona. I also serve on the Executive Council of the Labor and Employment Section of the State Bar of Arizona. I am the author of the legal blog, Employment and the Law, which was previously named the Top Employment Law Blog in the Nation by LexisNexis.
